I can't believe last night was my last youth group with you guys until halfway through August! :-/ As was mentioned last night, if anyone wants to email me, you can find my email address on the contact page of the site. Or you can contact me through MySpace. I do get online a couple times a day at each of the camps. But we do have an event on the seventh - check the calendar page for details! Carlos Waving Goodbye? Posted By: Doug (6/21/2007 4:54:13 PM) Hey everyone, I think this is a picture of Carlos waving goodbye from the top of a mountain...what do you think? ![]() If you want to read more... Hiking Singepole and Streaked With Carlos Oh, and just to be completely random and bizarre, here's a bird's eye view of some house with a blue roof. ![]() His Gifts And Presence New England Arts Festival Posted By: Doug (6/20/2007 7:30:38 AM) Hey everyone! Sorry I've taken so long getting information together about this weekend's youth group event! You wouldn't believe how much hassle it was to get answers about this event! The name of the event is: His Gifts And Presence New England Arts Festival, and it is a mixture of both visual and performing arts, including painters, singers, photographers, and dance. Warrior Poetes will be performing towards the end of the event. This is not a "typical" concert; while performers are doing their thing on stage, there will also be a variety of visual arts displays you can visit, so there will be plenty to interest everyone! TIME: Meet at 5:00 PM, return by 10:30 PM. COST: The event is on a donation basis, with a suggested donation of $5.00. There are refreshments available for sale at the event. Dunn's Camp Event Posted By: Doug (5/31/2007 3:36:26 AM) Don't forget that we're going to Dunn's Camp this weekend, Friday - Saturday! We're meeting at Hosanna for the OHCA graduation (7:00 on Friday), and then going from there to camp. The event finishes up at 5:00 on Saturday, and your ride needs to pick you up at the camp. If you missed getting directions to the camp, here they are: Take 26 from South Paris through Oxford. Go past the sliding/tubing park on Pigeon Hill. At the top of Pigeon Hill turn right onto the Rabbit Valley Road. Go past the first lake on the right. Turn right at the Dunn’s Camp sign. This is a dirt road. Follow the road to the end, to a big white cabin. On a completely different subject...last night I got home from youth group, plugged in my television, turned it on...and... it worked! ...of course, I don't know why I'm excited about that...there wasn't anything worth watching... *grins* Hattie is looking for some help! Posted By: Doug (5/20/2007 4:48:16 PM) Hey everyone, I just spoke with Hattie Johnson tonight, and she would love to have some help with yard work this spring. I know once we get into June, no one is going to have any free time, so I'm going to go over there this weekend (Saturday) to help her out. And for whoever is going to ask "Hattie? Is she the lady with the Christmas Village?" Yep, that's her! :) I don't know yet when on Saturday I'm going over there; if any of you are interested in helping out, fire off an email to me to let me know what part of the day (morning/afternoon) works best for you. And, speaking of yardwork, I found this scary picture today. This is Tommy at the Galilee House last fall, helping to tame the jungle. Yet another reason why Tommy is my hero. |
